Transactions

OBJECTIVE

In this section of the manual, you will know about unbilled and billed transactions and how they are different from each other.

What do you understand by unbilled and billed transaction?

Unbilled Transaction

Unbilled transactions are transactions that have been authorized or initiated by the customer but have not yet been included in a statement. These transactions are typically more recent and have not gone through the complete processing cycle to become billed. Unbilled transactions may include purchases made just before the statement generation date or transactions that are still being processed by the financial institution. They represent pending charges that will be included in the next billing statement.

Billed Transaction

Billed transactions are those for which the financial institution has generated a statement and sent it to the customer. These transactions have been processed, and the customer is notified of the amount they owe. Billed transactions represent the purchases, withdrawals, or other financial activities that have been recorded, authorized, and are now awaiting payment by the customer. Once a transaction is billed, it becomes part of the customer's outstanding balance and needs to be settled by the due date specified in the statement.
